Tiffin ALDI plans fall expansion

ALDI plans to renovate its Tiffin location this year, expanding the building to 13,000 square feet.

ALDI Hinckley Division Vice President Corey Stucker confirmed the expansion Wednesday.

“We are planning to remodel and expand our Tiffin store in fall 2017,” he said. “The remodeled store will have five aisles.”

Stucker said the store, at 2124 W. Market St., is to close temporarily for renovations in late summer. He said a time and date for the grand reopening is to be released soon.

“The remodeled store will offer a modern and convenient shopping environment,” Stucker said. “Customers will notice expanded sections for their favorite products, a robust fresh produce selection, brighter colors, high ceilings, natural lighting and environmentally-friendly building materials, such as recycled materials, energy-saving refrigeration and LED lighting.”

Seneca Industrial and Economic Development Corp. Development Coordinator Bryce Riggs said SIEDC is excited for ALDI to continue its growth in Tiffin.

“It’s another piece of the puzzle among development on West Market Street,” he said.
