JCPenney planning to close mall store | Advertiser-Tribune The Tiffin Mall will lose its last anchor store this fall, when JCPenney closes its doors, multiple sources confirmed Tuesday. "They plan to close by the end of October," Tiffin Mayor Aaron Montz said. "The decision is irrevocable." According to JCPenney's corporate communication and public relations spokesman Joey Thomas, the end may come even earlier. "Yes, our JCPenney location in Tiffin will close on or about Oct. 7, 2016," Thomas wrote in an email. In an email sent to Seneca Industrial and Economic Development Corp.
