Entrepreneur farmers changing agriculture | Advertiser-Tribune Last month, this column discussed the Seneca County Farmer's Market in Downtown Tiffin and how it is a part of the farm-to-market trend that is occurring in the U.S. This month's column looks at the role of farmer as entrepreneur and how the business of agriculture has changed in recent years. Agriculture has become big business, but there still are individual farmers who operate as entrepreneurs in the farming business. Investments in land, equipment and increases in other operating costs have made it more difficult for some smaller farmers to survive.
