Second in class | Advertiser-Tribune A Tiffin man recently won a second-place award at Detroit Autorama. Glenn Perkins, who owns Perkins Racing & Auto Repair, said he was awarded second place in the Super Street class for a custom 1982 Mustang GT. It was the first time Perkins had competed in the custom car show, which took place Feb. 26-28, Perkins said. "It was probably the Super Bowl of all car shows," he said. "Just to get accepted to Detroit Autorama is a feat in itself." Perkins said work on the Mustang took two years. The paint job alone, he said, took more than 180 hours.
