Entrepreneurship can provide opportunities for veterans to own or work for businesses. Veterans have specific issues finding work when they return to civilian life. The U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs said 95 percent of veterans cannot live on their military pension alone and must look for other sources of income. More than 53 percent of vets experience an extended period of unemployment.
