Jobless numbers decline | Advertiser-Tribune Seneca County's unemployment rate dropped in July. According to information from Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, the jobless rate decreased from 4.9 percent in June to 4.7 percent in July. The jobless rate is down significantly from 6 percent in July 2014. Estimates of the civilian labor force, the total number of people working or looking for employment, show 25,700 people were working in July, a decrease from 26,000 people in June. The labor force dropped, from 27,300 in June to 27,000 in July.
