Former NCOESC teacher convicted of child endangerment

A former teacher in North Central Ohio Educational Service Center’s preschool program who was accused of being intoxicated and having alcohol at school was convicted of child endangerment this morning.

Heather V. Holben, 50, of Tiffin, pleaded no contest and was found guilty of a charge of child endangerment, a first-degree misdemeanor, in Tiffin-Fostoria Municipal Court.

Judge Mark Repp sentenced Holben to 180 days in Seneca County Jail, with all of the days suspended, and placed her on probation for two years.

Holben voluntarily surrendered her teaching license.
