Brooke Chaney and Alex Recker exchanged wedding vows at 1 p.m. July 21, 2018, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help chapel on Walsh University’s campus, North Canton. The officiant was Father Tom Dyer of Alliance. A reception followed the ceremony at Hoover Hall, North Canton.
The bride is the daughter of Karen Lewis and Brian Chaney. The groom is the son of Richard and Amy Recker.
The maid of honor was Morgan McDermott of North Royalton, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Rachelle Putt of Sugarcreek, friend of the bride; Cassie Recker of Tiffin, sister of the groom; and Emily Bednar of Warren, friend of the bride. Flower girls were Avery and Leena Conley of Tiffin, cousins of the groom.
The best man was Kyle Recker of Port Clinton, cousin of the groom. Groomsmen were Adam Recker of Tiffin, brother of the groom; Josh Recker of Tiffin, brother of the groom; and Nick Gigax of Struthers, friend of the groom. Junior groomsman was Lucas Recker of Tiffin, brother of the groom.
The bride, a 2012 graduate of Howland High School, graduated from Walsh University in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and from Chatham University in 2018 with a master’s degree in occupational therapy. She is a pediatric occupational therapist for Mahoning County Educational Service Center.
The groom graduated from Calvert High School in 2012, from Walsh University in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in biology and in 2018 with a doctorate in physical therapy. He is a physical therapist at Sharon Regional Medical Center.
The couple resides in Cortland.
