Katherine L. Foy and Grant M. Lafontaine exchanged wedding vows at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 6, 2016, at Faith United Methodist Church, Tiffin, with the Rev. Jeff Lanzer officiating. A reception followed the ceremony at Camden Falls, Tiffin.
The bride is the daughter of Ken and Jan Foy of Tiffin. The groom is the son of Ken and Darlene Lafontaine of Lewis Center, formerly of Kenton.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an Alfred Angelo gown, made of taffeta with lightweight organza ribbon ruffles. The dress featured a scoop neckline with a jeweled trim. The gown was a soft, timeless A-line silhouette with an asymmetrical ruched bodice, featuring a coordinating beaded belt. The dress was a part of Disney Fairy Tale Weddings by Alfred Angelo collection and showcased its inspiration, Princess Ariel. The bride’s bouquet was arranged with turquoise-tipped calla lilies and hydrangeas, coral roses and lilies, rhinestones and glittered shells.
Bridesmaids also wore Alfred Angelo. The dresses were one shoulder, featuring a ruched bodice and a thin belt. The dresses were soft chiffon in the color jade. They carried complementing bouquets of coral roses, white hydrangeas, and glittered shells. The groomsmen wore steel-gray Jean Yves tuxedos with a matching vest and pant, accented with an ombre jade-peacock tie, and finished off with Bravo black wedding shoes. The groomsmen had boutonnieres of turquoise-tipped calla lilies, accented with starfish.
The maid of honor was Jackie Coffey, friend and sorority little sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Brianna Meister, friend and sorority sister of the bride, Ashley Stephenson, friend of the bride, and Ariana Kara, niece of the groom.
The best man was Bill Ellis IX, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Adam Cahill, friend of the groom, Dustin Hickman, friend of the groom, and Christopher Coleman, cousin of the groom.
The bride, a 2004 graduate of Columbian High School, graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 2008, and was a 2015 graduate of Mount Vernon Nazarene University. She is employed as an intervention specialist at Hilliard Davidson High School in Hilliard.
The groom is a 2003 graduate of Kenton Senior High School and a 2007 graduate of The Ohio State University. He is employed as a fraud specialist at BMW Financial Services in Hilliard.
A rehearsal dinner took place at Reino’s Catering and Party Room, Tiffin. The bridal party hosted a Little Mermaid-themed bridal shower June 25.
The couple resides in Hilliard after traveling to Walt Disney World and Orlando, Florida, for their honeymoon.
