Amanda E. Karcher and Brett O’Connor exchanged wedding vows with a double-ring ceremony at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 16, 2014, at Our Lady of Consolation Church, Carey, with the Rev. John Stowe officiating.
Amanda’s father, L. Kevin Karcher, gave the bride in marriage. The reception was at Meadowbrook Ballroom and the couple took a wedding trip to Punta Cana.
Amanda is the daughter of L. Kevin and Barb Karcher of Upper Sandusky. Brett is the son of Dan and Jill O’Connor of Tiffin.
The bride wore an ivory, organza, strapless gown. It had a sweetheart neckline and was accented at the waist with a champagne belt embellished with rhinestones, pearls, sequins and bugle beads. The mermaid-style gown featured a tiered skirt of ruffles and a chapel train. Her attendants wore charcoal, silky taffeta, floor-length dresses. The bodices featured strapless, sweetheart necklines and ruched waists.
Serving as matron of honor was Rachel Ferguson, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Ann Graham, friend of the bride; Leslie Karcher, sister-in-law of the bride; and Danielle Carmack, friend of the bride. Serving as flower girl was Carly Karcher, niece of the bride.
Serving as best man was Justin Ranker, friend of the groom. Groomsmen included Matt Diem, friend of the groom; Chuck Theis, uncle of the groom; Jameson Purola, cousin of the groom; and Jason Strait, friend of the groom. Owen Karcher, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer.
The bride graduated from Mohawk in 2004 and is an hourly supervisor at Walmart. The groom graduated from Columbian High School in 2004 and is a sales representative with Beerco. Brett and Amanda O’Connor reside in Arcadia.
