Vanguard-Sentinel gets $800K to boost skilled manufacturing | Advertiser-Tribune FREMONT — During Thursday's Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Greg Edinger told members an $800,000 Straight A grant will be used to replace, improve or expand robotics and advanced manufacturing equipment. He expects upgrades fully complete by the 2017-2018 school year. Edinger said he wants to make sure equipment being used to train VSCTC students is the same as ones being used by modern manufacturers. This award is to be the largest amount received from a grant in the district's history.
