Justin and Darlene (Clouse) Elchert celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, March 1, 2020, with a Mass at All Saints Church, with Fr. Tim Kummerer and Deacon John Walters. Their four children, Christopher (Penny) Elchert, Keith (Traci) Elchert, Katrina (Keith) Kirian, and Kyle (Kelly) Elchert planned the events for the celebration. Their ten grandchildren, Kady, Gidge, Christen, Victoria, Maddy, Samantha, Genna, Carson, Alexandria and Urban Elchert participated in the Mass by serving, reading, Eucharistic Ministers, and taking up the offerings.
A luncheon was at the Pioneer Mill with their family, the wedding party consisting of brothers, sisters, their spouses, and a nephew that was their ring bearer. An after lunch party followed at Kyle and Kelly Elchert’s home for games, conversation, video, food and drinks.
Justin retired from Honeywell and still farms. Darlene retired from the U.S. Post Office as a rural carrier. Both are active with grandkids sports, 4-H, Boy Scouts No. 444, and American Legion Post No. 354 of New Riegel.
