Jerry and Joyce Guth of rural Old Fort celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017, with a dinner with family and a few friends at T.J. Willie’s restaurant and a trip in early August to the Oregon coast and San Francisco.
The couple was wed Aug. 26, 1967, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Monroe, Michigan, by the Rev. Raymond Lamb.
Joyce is the daughter of the late Clifford and Marie Brown of Monroe, Michigan, and is retired after 34 years as a registered nurse for the office of E.C. Hiestand, M.D., and Philip Edgar, M.D., and is a hospice volunteer at ProMedica Memorial Hospital.
They are parents of two children, Julie (Dave Durnwald) Guth of Tiffin and Kevin (Bianca) Guth of Old Fort. They have three granddaughters.
