Martin drives in four as Tigers jump all over Plymouth

ATTICA — Hunter Martin drove in four runs and Rickie Lacy, Jake Hall and Andrew Daniel all scored twice Monday as Seneca East thumped Plymouth, 12-2.

Martin singled twice, scored and picked up the win with three innings of work on the mound.

The Tigers wasted little time, plating six runs in the bottom of the first for a 6-1 lead.

Hall went 2 for 3 with an RBI, Lacy singled and drove in a run, and Isiah Kimmet drove in two runs, singled and scored.

Tyler Turek went 2 for 3 with a run and RBI, Andrew Kalb singled, scored and drove in a run, Chase Foos singled and scored and Turner Bridgford scored.

Luke Montgomery suffered the loss.

Payten Young singled and scored for the Big Red, Treven Lane had a single and RBI, Walker Elliott scored, and Zeth Goth, Avery Horne and Camden Welch each singled.

Redmen rally past Colts

BELLVILLE — Bellevue pushed across two runs in the top of the ninth and held Clear Fork scoreless in the bottom of the frame Monday to claim a 4-2 win.

Clear Fork snapped a scoreless tie with two runs in the second inning, but the Redmen used single runs in the third and fifth to tie it up.

Reliever Philip Putnam, Bellevue’s fourth pitcher in the game, got the win with two innings for work. He also tripled singled, drove in a run and scored twice.

Ethan Prenatt added a single and two RBIs for the Redmen, Keegan Ray singled twice and drove in a run, Dalton Hay singled and scored, Grant Vickery and Preston Ray each singled, and Trey Ruhlman scored.

Brad Johnson suffered the loss in a relief effort for the Colts. He also singled.

Brandon Patterson went 3 for 3 with a run, Dylan Jewell drove in a run, A.J. Blubaugh and Jared Scott both singled, and David Ballinger scored.

Hahn, Eagles blank Redmen

PEMBERVILLE — Noah Hahn allowed two hits in six innings and struck out seven as Eastwood shut out Fostoria 6-0.

Both of the hits Hahn allowed were doubles — one each by Karsen Bemis and Trey Groves — while allowing a walk and throwing 82 pitches.

He helped his own cause at the plate by singling and driving in a run, while his Eastwood teammate, Justin Pickerel, who had two hits, scored three runs and added an RBI. The Eagles’ Lake Boos added two hits and two runs scored, and Isaac Cherry singled in a run.

Fostoria’s Jesus Garcia took the loss on the mound, going 1 2/3 innings, allowing four runs on three hits, walking six.

Fostoria dropped to 11-15.

Chieftains rally back to drop Arlington

ARLINGTON — Arlington struck early, but Hopewell-Loudon countered big Tuesday to claim an 11-6 Blanchard Valley Conference win.

The Red Devils grabbed a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the first and led 6-0 after the second, but Hopewell-Loudon bottled them up from there.

Reliever Travis Milligan pitched out of a bases-loaded jam in the third inning, and Arlington squandered several scoring opportunities after that.

Meanwhile, the Chieftains got their first three runs in the fourth before taking the lead for good with a five-run fifth.

Bailey Breidenbach went 2 for 2 with two runs and three RBIs for H-L, Gage Burns doubled and drove in two runs, and Milligan scored twice, drove in a run and doubled.

Ashton Bour added a 3-for-4 day with three RBIs and a run, Cody Balliet scored twice and singled, Adam Sendelbach singled twice, drove in a run and scored, Jaret Nelson scored twice and Marshall Reinhard scored.

Milligan also picked up the win.

Brayden Bushong homered and drove in two runs for the Red Devils, Frankie Jones doubled and scored, and losing pitcher Will Bushong went 2 for 2 with two runs.

Trenton Comstock drove in two runs and singled twice, Caden Laferty singled twice, Austin Rausch had a single, run and RBI, Zavier Thornton singled and scored, Logan Below had a single and RBI and Grant Riegle singled.

South Central slips by BC

GREENWICH — David Lamoreaux belted a solo homer in the bottom of the fourth and Phillip Madison kept Buckeye Central’s batters in check Monday in South Central’s 1-0 win.

Madison fanned 10 and allowed just three hits and a walk.

Simon Blair added a double for the Trojans, and Madison and Blaine Wheeler each singled.

Kaiden Vaughn took the loss for the Bucks (10-17).

Brandon Mann singled twice for Buckeye Central and Nick Ramey singled.

Golden Bears blank NR

NEW RIEGEL — Gibsonburg led 2-0 after the fourth inning, then took control with a four-run fifth Monday en route to shutting out New Riegel 6-0 in Sandusky Bay Conference River Division play.

Brendon Kolkemeyer led the Golden Bears by going 3 for 3 with an RBI, while Fred Sisco tripled, scored and drove in a run and Gabe Mendoza scored twice, doubled and knocked in a run.

Cole Witte had two RBIs and two singles, winning pitcher Austin Biddle singled and scored, Tyler Pelish scored, and Brad Mendoza had an RBI.

Hayden Hohman’s double and Jacob Theis’ two singles led the Blue Jackets. Logan Schalk also singled.

Nick Reinhart took the loss.
