Lexington’s big 2nd half blasts Rams

UPPER SANDUSKY — Lexington led 26-21 at the half Saturday over Upper Sandusky.

However, the Minutemen were just getting warmed up. They outscored the Rams 50-29 in the second half to take a 76-50 non-league win.

Kyle Johnston was on fire from deep with eight 3-pointers for 24 points for the Minutemen (8-3), while Cade Stover had 22 points, Ben Vore added 11 and Nick Stehle ended with nine.

Mason Vent led the Rams (9-2) with 14 points. They also got 11 points from Evan Young and Cameron McCreary and seven points by seven points.

Jackets sink Lakers

NEW RIEGEL — New Riegel got off to a great start Saturday with a 14-4 lead after one quarter en route to a 60-40 Sandusky Bay Conference River Division win over Danbury.

Nick Reinhart led the Blue Jackets (3-6, 2-4) with 23 points and a pair of steals, while Chris Acree tacked on 10 points and Darek Feindel had seven points. Jacob Theis grabbed 10 rebounds and Cole Noftz had four assists.

Ian Kuzma had 14 points, eight rebounds and a pair of steals for the Lakers (4-7, 2-4).

The Blue Jackets were 9 of 23 from beyond the arc.

Panthers destroy Raiders

KANSAS — Sandusky St. Mary jumped all over Lakota early and often in a 74-32 Sandusky Bay Conference River Division win.

Carter Reinhart put in 14 points for the Raiders (0-9, 0-6), while Payton Ackerman added eight.

The Raiders were just 11 of 32 shooting and turned the ball over 27 times.

Warriors stay unbeaten

SYCAMORE — Mohawk owned the first quarter and Zach Hayman did likewise in the second Saturday as the unbeaten Warriors thumped Ridgemont 84-55.

The Warriors (10-0) vaulted out to a 23-9 lead by the end of the first period before Hayman scored 11 of his game-high 25 points in the second to stake Mohawk to a 46-21 halftime lead.

Chris Klopp backed Hayman with 12 points and seven rebounds, Kaiden Hammer had 11 points and eight boards, Brock Brause and Hunter Gottfried each netted nine and Austin Tusing scored eight.
