Fliers power past Perkins
CLYDE — Derick Harrah and James Dry combined for 29 points Tuesday in Clyde’s 51-42 Sandusky Bay Conference Lake Division win against Perkins.
Harrah tossed in 16 points for the Fliers (8-4, 5-1 SBC) and Dry tallied 13.
The Pirates (7-6, 2-3) got 13 points form Joe Printy and eight from Sam Siegel.
OLD FORT — Old Fort stormed off in the fourth quarter to turn a close game into a 62-46 Sandusky Bay Conference River Division win Tuesday against Gibsonburg.
The Stockaders (10-3, 8-0 SBC) led just 41-39 at the end of the third period before racing away 21-7 in the fourth.
Zach Dewese keyed Old Fort with 20 points, 11 rebounds and three steals.
Carson Steyer backed him with 17 points, Mason Salas had eight points and eight boards and A.J. Steyer turned in six assists and three steals.
Addison Weaver’s 16 points topped the Golden Bears (4-8, 3-5). Theo Hernandez scored 10 points.
Ruffing-led Tigers boot Rockets
MORRAL — D.J. Ruffing keyed a second-quarter rally, and Seneca East kept going from there Tuesday to beat Northern 10 Athletic Conference foe Ridgedale 68-56.
The Tigers trailed 18-8 at the first stop, but Ruffing netted 12 of his game-high 27 points in the second quarter to help Seneca East cut the deficit to just 33-32 by halftime.
Seneca East (5-5, 3-5 N10) took control from there, outscoring the Rockets 37-23 in the second half.
Tyler Turek backed Ruffing with 10 points and Jake Siesel and Clint Wurm each netted eight.
Connor Lust’s 17 points keyed Ridgedale (6-6, 3-6), Adam Beard had 13 and Clayton Lust tossed in 12.
Blue Jackets shine at the line
KANSAS — New Riegel overcame a mediocre night from the field with an excellent one at the line Tuesday to beat winless Lakota 63-50 in Sandusky Bay Conference River Division play.
The Blue Jackets finished just 36.4 percent on field goals (20 for 55), but went 15 for 16 on foul shots to make up for it.
Bryce Hohman led New Riegel (5-6, 4-4 SBC) at the line by going 8 for 8 there on the way to 19 points.
Chris Acree added six 3-pointers to finish with 18 points and Nick Reinhart scored 15.
Reinhart also tallied nine rebounds, three assists and three steals. Hohman and Darek Feindel each hauled in seven boards.
Jalen Cofer scored 12 points for the Raiders (0-12, 0-8), Carter Reinhart had 10 and Collin Hipsher and Josh Matz both chipped in nine.
Reinhart also grabbed six rebounds and Dakota Travis dished five assists.
