Redskins dominate Chieftains

BASCOM — Kennedy Pratt and Samantha Watkins both scored 14 points for Arcadia in a 57-35 rout of Hopewell-Loudon in Blanchard Valley Conference play Thursday.

The Redskins got off to a great start up 17-9 after the first stop and then leading 29-18 at the half, raced out to a 49-24 lead after three with a 20-6 third quarter.

Danielle Burnett tacked on eight points for the Redskins, who shot 13 of 16 from the free throw line.

They also limited MaKayla Elmore to 11 points and 10 rebounds. Morgan Searles added eight points and Kirstyn Sadler ended with six for the Chieftains, who made just 13 field goals.

Push in fourth fuels Lake

MILLBURY — Lake powered past Fostoria 23-12 in the fourth quarter Thursday to turn a close game into a 62-49 Northern Buckeye Conference win.

Lexi Robinson scored nine of her game-high 26 points in the fourth quarter for the Flyers (8-1, 4-1 NBC), who led just 39-37 after the third.

Mya Staczek backed her with 14 points.

The Redmen (1-8, 0-5) got 18 points from Tyriana Settles and seven from Mya Weimerskirch.
