WRESTLING: Bellevue will host the 42nd annual Bellevue Bob Bailey Wrestling Invitational Dec. 8 in the Bellevue High gymnasium. Bellevue, Carey, Clyde, Genoa, Huron, Oak Harbor, Amherst Steele, Sandusky St. Mary, Wellington and Westlake will compete. Wrestling begins at 9 a.m. The finals start at approximately 5:45 p.m. or an hour after the sixth round of morning and afternoon wrestling. All-day adult tickets cost $9, while all-day student tickets cost $6. Tickets for only the finals evening session cost $6 for adults and $5 for students. There will no passes accepted. T-shirts will be available to purchase until noon.
JV GIRLS BASKETBALL: Carey beat Old Fort 29-18. Chloe Wilkinson scored six points for Old Fort and Emily Blankenship had four.
n Van Buren beat Hopewell-Loudon 21-16. Brook Breidenbach scored seven points for H-L and Abby Daniel had five.
n Makenna Depinet scored 22 points and Amelia Boes had 16 to key Seneca East’s 67-14 romp past South Central.
n Willard beat Upper Sandusky 50-19.
n Mohawk beat Lakota 23-15.
JUNIOR HIGH BOYS BASKETBALL: Brayden Roggow scored 18 points and Damian Brockington netted 14 to lead Tiffin’s seventh grade past Findlay Donnell 47-40.
n Tiffin’s eighth grade raced past Findlay Donnell 42-24, getting 12 points from Logan Beaston and nine from Zak Siebenaller.
n Seneca East rolled past Bucyrus 56-15 in eighth grade play. Kadin Snay scored 18 points for the Tigers and Cody Heibertshausen and Grahm Gibbs both added 12.
n Bucyrus beat Seneca East’s seventh grade 47-25. Jacob Bowerman scored seven points for Seneca East and Lucas Hicks and Aiden Hines both tallied five.
n Carey’s seventh grade beat Mohawk 37-13. Gavin Barth netted six points for Mohawk.
n Carey edged Mohawk 26-25 in eighth grade action. A.J. Hess scored seven points for Mohawk and Owen Chevalier added six.
JUNIOR HIGH GIRLS BASKETBALL: Seneca East’s seventh grade edged Bucyrus 22-19. Caroline Kagy scored eight points for the Tigers and Jo Gunn had four.
n Seneca East’s eighth grade rolled past Bucyrus 38-7. Katelyn Siesel and Hillary Bogner both tossed in 12 points for the Tigers and Livy Kaiser scored eight.
n Carey held off Mohawk’s seventh grade 24-21. A.J. Shevalier scored 12 points for Mohawk.
n Carey’s eighth grade beat Mohawk 32-11. Bailey Sheets scored six points for Mohawk and Alysen Young had five.
