Calvert knocks back Blue Jackets

Lexie White registered a double-double and Ashlyn Jones approached one Thursday to push state-ranked Calvert past New Riegel 25-19, 25-14, 25-22 in Sandusky Bay Conference River Division play.

White had 18 digs and 10 kills for the Senecas, ranked 12th in Division IV, and Jones tallied 14 digs and eight kills.

Emma White added 19 assists and four aces, Sophie Burtis tossed up 12 assists, Zoe Meyer drilled five solo blocks and Lila Gehring lined two solo blocks.

The Blue Jackets got 21 digs from Madalyn Reinhart and 16 assists, nine digs and five kills from Aubrey Bouillon.

Jordan Hohman added eight digs and six kills, Christen Hohman had seven digs and four kills, Julia Reinhart ended with four kills and three digs and Kaitlyn Kirian lined three kills.

Bucks now 7-0 in N10

BUCYRUS — Buckeye Central stormed past Bucyrus to stay perfect in Northern 10 Athletic Conference play Thursday, never letting the Redmen end closer than 10 points in a game.

The Bucks (8-3, 7-0 N10) won 25-15, 25-10, 25-12.

Allison Weithman topped the winners with 39 assists, four digs and three kills. Lydia Ackerman added 18 digs and three aces, Lexi Evak (2 blocks) slammed 11 kills and Alivia Niese (2 blocks) drilled eight kills.

Redmen serve up Elmwood

FOSTORIA — Three Fostoria players combined for 11 aces Thursday as the state-ranked Redmen beat Elmwood 25-14, 25-23, 25-14 in Northern Buckeye Conference action.

Mary Harris and Meredith Grine each hammered four aces for the Redmen (10-2, 5-1 NBC), ranked 18th in Division III, and Baleigh Robinson drilled another three.

Harris also handed out 30 assists, Grine had six digs and Robinson (2 assists) chipped in six kills and six digs.

Tyriana Settles (2 solo blocks) tallied 26 kills and six digs, Deshani Taylor came up with six digs and Jasmine Groves had three kills and three digs.

Tigers roll past Wynford

ATTICA — Jessie Bowerman turned in an all-around game Thursday to spark Seneca East’s 25-11, 25-13, 25-16 Northern 10 Athletic Conference win against Wynford.

Bowerman tallied 17 assists, nine digs, seven aces and four kills for the Tigers (5-7, 4-3 N10).

Lauren Bogner backed her with 19 digs and six aces, Alexis Hicks hammered five kills and five blocks, Tori Fritz lined five kills and three blocks and Alissa Daniel and Kayla Snavely each smacked three kills.

Bellevue drops Clyde

CLYDE — Bellevue bulled past Clyde 25-19, 25-20, 25-17 Thursday in Sandusky Bay Conference Lake Division play.

Molly Bullion and Payton Vogel each turned in double-doubles for the Redmen, ranked fifth in Division III, with Bullion tallying 22 assists, 14 digs and five aces and Vogel turning in 16 digs, 10 kills and three blocks.

Taylor Baxter backed them with 17 digs, Madison Hrynciw had 12 digs and three aces, Riley Mohr slammed eight kills and Kami Hay hammered two aces.

Clyde’s Grace Ball handed out 16 assists, Braylin Caudill (2 blocks) registered eight kills and eight digs and Ruby Schabel belted six kills and three blocks.
