Senecas slog past Stockaders

Playing conditions weren’t ideal, but a pair of 48s helped Calvert edge Old Fort 205-210 Tuesday on a wet back nine at Mohawk Country Club.

“Tough conditions out there on a tough golf course. Nobody played great,” Calvert coach Joel Ardner said. “Glad to see our freshman Max step up and have a score contribute and luckily for us we were able to squeak out the win.”

Maddy Brown and Brayden Thomas shot the 48s for the Senecas (4-2, 3-2 Sandusky Bay Conference). Dominic Mangiola added a 49 and Max Paul had a 60.

Jarett Woodall’s 49 led the Stockaders. Kaleb Wilkson shot a 51 and Carson Steyer and Andrew Combs each had a 55.

Sandusky forfeits

to Bellevue

CLYDE — Bellevue posted a 176 Tuesday in a Sandusky Bay Conference Lake Division match with Sandusky at Sleepy Hollow, which proved to be enough as Sandusky had just two golfers and forfeited the contest.

Hudson Strayer and Adam Hosang shot twin 43s for the Redmen, while Hayden Foos added a 44 and Garrett Vickery and Connor Rospert shot a 46. Zach Eskins ended with a 55.

Sandusky was led by Wyatt Schenk with a 61, while Josh Bishop had a 70.

Rams third in girls tri

BUCYRUS — Emily Rudd fired a 45 Tuesday to fuel Wynford’s triangular win at Golf Club of Bucyrus.

Rudd’s effort helped the Royals (6-2) beat Willard 202-211. Upper Sandusky shot a 246 to end third.

Katie Clark led Upper Sandusky with a 56, Katie Conley and Kendra Conley each shot a 62, and Olivia Barth had a 66. Annea Bjorkquist Kastmark (71) also played for the Rams (1-6).
