Lucius, Tigers take down Eagles in N10 play

Alivia Lucius led four Seneca East golfers in the 50s with a 53 against Colonel Crawford as the Tigers blasted the Eagles 218-257 in Northern 10 Athletic Conference action at Clinton Heights.

Backing Lucius was Olivia Boesser with a 54, Taylor Greilich with a 55 and Autumn Enders had a 56. Moriah Love shot a 60 and Ellie French ended with a 68.

Colonel Crawford got a 58 from Maci Risner, a 60 by Katie Reynolds, a 67 from Lexie Hillman and a 72 from Chelsea Daubenspeck.

TC gets 4th win

PORT CLINTON — Ava Sarka led the way for Columbian with a 46 as it took down Port Clinton 212-255 at Catawba Island Club Tuesday.

Taylor Losey added a 49 for TC (4-2), while Breanna Brock had a 57 and Meredith Obringer shot a 60 with a birdie on the ninth hole. Tyler Ward (61) and Norah Smith (67) also played.

For Port Clinton, Kenzie Halsey had a 58, while Ahmyre McCree shot a 62, Claire Snyder added a 63 and Emily Theibert ended with a 72.

Raiders get by Old Fort

FREMONT — Kyleigh Dull fired a 39 to help Lakota beat Old Fort 172-186 in a Sandusky Bay Conference River Division match at Sycamore Hills.

Lakota’s (7-1, 6-1 SBC River) Colt Dible backed Dull with a 42, while Connor Hill shot a 45 and Ethan Longoria carded a 46. Jayden Bonnell shot a 49 and Gabe Dohanyos had a 50.

For Old Fort (3-5 SBC), Collin Nutter recorded a 45, Kaleb Wilkinson had a 46, Andrew Combs added a 47 and Carson Steyer had a 48. Jarret Woodall shot a 52 and Brandon Swartz ended with a 53.

Royals trip Warriors

BUCYRUS — Despite a 44 from Logan Drum, Wynford topped Mohawk 184-204 at the Golf Club of Bucyrus in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference match.

Kaiden Hammer recorded a 51 for the Warriors (0-3) in the loss, while Zach King had a 53 and Evan Kuenzli rounded out the scoring with a 55. Reese Hannam shot a 59 and Owen England finished with a 70.

Pirates sink Redmen

CLYDE — Perkins was consistent Tuesday in a 175-188 Sandusky Bay Conference Lake Division win over Bellevue at Sleepy Hollow.

Jacob Williams led the Pirates (3-2) with a 42, while Sam Siegel added a 43 and John Sharp and Ryan Johnson shot twin 45s. Drew McVeigh and Dyson Leffler both shot a 46.

Bellevue (1-4) got a 45 from Hudson Strayer, a 46 by Garrett Vickery, a 47 from Connor Rospert and a 50 by Adam Hosang. Layne Krupp (53) and Jackson Moyer (54) also played.

Verhoff, Spurlock in

top 5 for Lady Red

SHELBY — The Bellevue girls walked away with the win at Shelby Tuesday, beating Shelby 36-42.

Leading the way for the Lady Red was Madelyn Verhoff (14:39) in fourth, while Lindsey Spurlock was right behind her (14:40). Lilli Ray ran seventh (14:57), Rylee Bolenbacher finished ninth (15:14) and Vanessa Shanaman ended 13th (15:46).

Shelby’s Makenna Heimlich won the race in 12:58. Willard had 50 points and Norwalk didn’t have a score.

For the boys, Shelby won with 27 points, followed by Willard (46), Norwalk (58) and Bellevue (97).

Zach Cleveland led the Redmen in 10th (12:04), Cayden Adams ran 14th (12:22), Caleb Wenzel placed 24th (13:07), Dwight Fuehring finished 30th (13:33) and Cooper Fought ended 31st (13:38).

“A two-mile race was just the right challenge for today’s conditions,” Redmen coach Lee Booze said. “Although the times weren’t blazing, the kids raced well for the conditions. Certainly we are ready for our first 5K race this weekend to really get the season going.”

Fliers move to 1-1 in SBC

CLYDE — Clyde swept the singles events en route to evening its Sandusky Bay Conference record at 1-1 Tuesday by beating Sandusky 4-1.

Lakotah Cagle raced past Alana Armstrong 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 singles for the Fliers (2-4, 1-1 SBC), Siera Hisey dropped Audrey Smith 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2, and Madi Bannister beat Baylie Tieche 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3.

Fliers Mary Wilkerson and Emma Strudthoff upended Aonesty Cogar and Sumerlyn Thomas 7-6 (4), 2-6, 10-5 at No. 1 doubles.

Blue Streaks Marissa Esposito and Kristen Ehrnsberger defeated Hali Hagemeyer and Megan Barrett 7-5, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles.
