Carey clips Colonel Crawford

GALION — Carey got some steady scoring against Colonel Crawford, and the Blue Devils prevailed by four strokes.

Ethan Tanner shot a 46, Dylan Grothaus had a 48 and Carter Frederick had a 50, pushing Carey to a 194-225 win.

AJ Johnson shot a 53 to pace the Eagles.

Carey improved to 2-0, 1-0 in Northern 10 Athletic Conference matches.

Balliet paces H-L in win

FOSTORIA — Cody Balliet fired a 41 at Fostoria Country Club, and two other Hopewell-Loudon players shot in the 40s in a 185-216 win over New Riegel.

The Chieftains received 45s from Layne Myers and Owen Schumm.

Jacob Theis had a 51 to lead the Blue Jackets, while Cole Miller had a 52.

McCarthy and Branson help Columbian cruise

SANDUSKY — Columbian’s Trevor McCarthy and Andrew Branson each shot a match-best 41, and Columbian defeated Sandusky at Mills Creek.

The Blue Streaks had only two golfers. The Tornadoes shot a 169.

Brenton Brown put up a 43 for the Tornadoes, while Greg Gase had a 44. Gabe Reyes shot a 49, while Griffin Bunting had a 50.

Wyatt Schenk had a 56 for Sandusky.

Bucks by Warriors

Buckeye Central’s boys had four players shoot in the 40s at Seneca Hills Tuesday, and eased to a 175-199 win over Mohawk.

Tyler Rose had a medal-winning 42 for the Bucks, while Adam Krebs and Nick Fike each shot a 44.

Mohawk’s best score came from Logan Drum, who had a 44. Owen England and Zach King each had a 51 for the Warriors.
