Buckeye Central walks away with huge conference win

NEW WASHINGTON — Alli Weithman collected 30 assists, five kills and 13 digs for Buckeye Central in a 25-17, 26-28, 16-25, 25-16, 15-9 Northern 10 Athletic Conference win over Mohawk.

Lexi Evak tallied 18 kills and three blocks for the Bucks (3-0, 2-0 N10), while Allyson Sostakowski had five kills and eight digs, Kendra Ackerman tallied three kills and nine digs, Courtney Pifher collected three kills, six digs and four aces and Lydia Ackerman ended with four aces and 13 digs.

Madi Chester had a big night for the Warriors (0-1, 0-1 N10) with 19 kills and 21 digs. They also got 10 kills, three digs and a pair of blocks from Emma Myers-Huffman, eight kills, 19 digs and three aces from Kaylee Ward, seven kills, 41 assists, nine digs and three blocks by Alexa Konkle and seven kills and four digs from Paityn Clouse. Aubrey Margraf made 15 digs and served three aces, Ellie Shaw had eight digs and Tess Weinandy finished with five digs and an ace.

Edison drops Clyde

CLYDE — Edison tripped up Clyde 25-16, 25-22, 25-23 Thursday in a non-league match.

Grace Ball tallied 19 assists for the Fliers in the loss. Ruby Schabel added seven digs and five kills, Jackie Smith had six kills and six digs and Maddy Andecover (2 blocks) lined six kills.

Rams can’t catch L-B

FINDLAY — Liberty-Benton powered past Upper Sandusky 25-7, 25-13, 25-12 Thursday.

Kenedi Hayden paced the Rams (0-3) with seven digs and four kills in the loss, and Emily Hill came up with eight digs.

Wildcats take care of Raiders

ELMORE — Lakota gave Woodmore a match Thursday, but in the end, the Wildcats won 25-14, 22-25, 28-26, 25-19 in non-league play.

Amber Eubank led the Raiders (1-1) with nine kills, while Kendra McDole had five kills, six digs and two aces, Madison King added five kills, 12 digs and three aces, Addisyn Marshall smacked three kills and made three digs and Qiara Palos and Katelyn Klotz had two kills and nine digs each. Grace Swaisgood made 26 digs, while Anna Brubaker made 10 digs.

Senecas get past Flyers

MILLBURY — Ashlyn Jones hammered 12 kills and served four aces for Calvert in a 25-13, 25-27, 25-18, 18-25, 15-12 non-league win at Lake.

Backing Jones was Zoe Meyer with seven kills and seven blocks, while Lexie White lined seven kills, Shelby Hemminger made 20 digs, Emma White dished 18 assists, while Sophie Burtis finished with 12 assists.

Blue Jackets stay perfect

ARCADIA — Aubrey Bouillon tallied six kills, 26 assists and 14 digs to help New Riegel get by Arcadia 25-22, 25-21, 11-25, 13-25, 15-7.

Kaitlyn Kirian added 11 kills and a pair of aces for New Riegel (3-0), while Jordan Hohman had nine kills and six digs, Christen Hohman tallied eight kills, two aces and nine digs, Julia Reinhart added seven kills, two aces and four digs, Brooklyn Gillig served up three aces and Madalyn Reinhart made 14 digs.
