5K RUN: Lourdes University will host its second annual 5K Terra Cotta Trot Oct. 14. The event starts at 8 a.m. on the university mid-campus grounds near the Ebeid Recreational Center. Cost is $25. GOLF: Ryan Chavalier and Marty Ward lead the second five weeks of the Baumann Old Fort Ex-Hi League with 42 points, two points better than the team of Jr. Coffman and Rick Myers. Prizes went to Chavalier (closest in three No. 10, long putt No. 15) and Steve Adelsperger (closest in two No. 13).

n Rufus Tyree, Joe Weaver, Steve Schafer and Dick Best tied Ray Krupp, Jim Heyman, Dwayne Wisebaker and Dale Wisebaker at 6 under to win the Retirees League at Seneca Hills. Prizes went to Heyman (long putt No. 10) and Bob Barchus (closest to pin No. 18).

n Doug Tanner shot a 39 for the low gross and Rand Argabrite shot a 34 for the low net in the Tuesday Night P.J. Brickhouse League at Loudon Meadows. Prizes went to Dave Coppus (long putt No. 8), Tanner (closest to in two No. 7) and Paul Gosche (most putts).

FALL BASEBALL: Tiffin Cal Ripken D League is signing up players through July 27 for fall baseball. The league is for 10-year-olds who turn 11 before May 1, 2019, and for 11- and 12-year-olds who cannot turn 13 before May 1, 2018.
