PARENT MEETING: Upper Sandusky High School will host a fall sports meeting July 23 in the gym. Parents of all sports (excluding golf and cheerleading) are expected to attend. The general meeting begins at 7 p.m. followed by individual sport meetings. BASEBALL: The Northern Ohio Storm baseball tournament organization will be hosting a tryout July 14 for their eight-and-under fall ball team. This will be from 10 a.m. -noon at Tiffin University softball field at the Paradiso Complex. The eight- and-under team will compete in the Huron fall league (mid August to mid-October) with games on Saturdays. Players must be eight or younger as of May 1, 2018 to be eligible. GOLF: Dennis Walter shot a 37 for low gross and Ray Creeger had low net with 32 in the Tuesday Night PJ Brickhouse League at Loudon Meadows. Prize winners Dale Thaxton ( long putt on No.14), Dennis Walter (closest to pin on No.15),and JR Brickner (fewest putts).
n In the Bump’s Traveling League at Loudon Meadows, the winning team of Tim Bradford, Brian Krauess, Howard Elchert and Dick Rhuhle had a 61. Next week’s play will be at Fremont Country Club, with a tee time of 10 a.m..
n Through seven weeks of the YMCA League, the teams of Kyle Daugherty, Glen Fogle and the team of Garry Carrick and Mike Weber are tied with 79 total points. In second with 77 points is the team of Bud Witsman and Denny Krupp.
n In the Senior League at Clinton Heights the team of Kirk Steffani, Jim Kimmell, Bob Shultz, Dave Purnell and Don Kin were eight under to win.
n The New Riegel 4-man Team Scramble is July 14 sponsored by the New Riegel Athletic Boosters. The event will be played at Loudon Meadows with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
