JUNIOR HIGH SBC TOURNAMENT: Old Fort will host the Sandusky Bay Conference Tournament on Saturday, starting at 9:30 a.m. in the high school big gym. Lakota’s and Calvert’s seventh grade teams will start the tournament, with Old Fort’s boys taking on Sandusky St. Mary at around 10:45 a.m., the Old Fort eighth grade girls against St. Mary at noon, and Old Fort’s eighth grade boys against Calvert at 1:15 p.m. These times are approximated. Admission is $3, with only SBC passes accepted. All proceeds go to the SBC. A concession stand will be available.
BOYS JV BASKETBALL: Andrew Kalb scored 22 points, Andy Bauman tossed in 11 and Mykah Vogt added seven to lead Seneca East past Upper Sandusky 50-39. Ben Sheaffer scored 11 points for Upper Sandusky and Curtis Smith had 10.
n Hunter Gottfried scored 13 points and Mason Danner added 10 as Mohawk beat Wynford 55-38.
GIRLS JV BASKETBALL: Old Fort upended Seneca East 39-35. Ally Pence scored 12 points for the Stockaders. Tori Fritz scored 15 points for Seneca East and Megan Rife had 13.
n Ashlyn Jones scored eight points, leading Calvert to a 40-30 win over Fremont St. Joe.
BOYS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL: Upper Sandusky’s seventh grade beat Seneca East 53-44 for the Northern 10 Athletic Conference Tournament title. Isaac Mason scored 20 points for Seneca East, Graham Gibb netted seven and Cody Heibertshausen and Nathan Sauers each tallied five.
FIRE RELIEF: A bake sale will be held Saturday during the Mohawk boys basketball game. All proceeds benefit the Mohawk area fire victims. Baked goods can be donated and delivered to the school’s ticket booth 4-4:30 p.m. Saturday.
