Kin shines in milestone win for Blue Devils

NORTH ROBINSON — Sydney Kin outscored Colonel Crawford as Carey cruised to a 68-18 Northern 10 Athletic Conference victory and picked up its 600th win in program history.

Kin tallied 22 points and 11 rebounds for the unbeaten Blue Devils (4-0, 1-0 N10), who led 24-2 at the end of the first quarter.

Amber Nash chipped in 11 points, Destiny DeFeo added nine points and five assists and Sydney Ferguson grabbed four steals.


Chieftains thump NR

BASCOM — Makayla Elmore turned in a double-double and three other teammates also scored in double digits Tuesday as Hopewell-Loudon raced past New Riegel 59-35.

Elmore led the charge with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Hailey Coppus chipped in 12 points for H-L, Jacque Burns and Kenadee Siebenaller both scored 10 and Emily Peters added nine.

Burns also dished five assists, Olivia Zender snared four steals and Siebenaller had three assists.

Brianna Gillig’s 18 points, nine rebounds and four assists led the Blue Jackets (2-2). None of her teammates scored more than six points.

Bucks blast


SYCAMORE — Buckeye Central led 20-2 at the first stop and coasted from there Tuesday in a 64-17 Northern 10 Athletic Conference romp past Mohawk.

Courtney Pifher scored 25 points for the Bucks (3-0, 1-0 N10), Lexi Evak had 15 and Jenna Karl tossed in eight.

The Warriors (1-1, 0-1) got four points each from Aubrey Margraf and Anna Stillberger.

Margaretta clips Clyde in OT

CLYDE — Margaretta doubled up Clyde 10-5 in overtime Tuesday, going 8 for 8 at the line in the extra period, to claim a 75-70 victory.

Heidi Marshall popped in 25 points for the Fliers in the loss. Alexis Keegan backed her with 12 and Maddie Bannister scored eight.

Genoa pulls away from Stockaders

GENOA — Genoa rallied past Old Fort 18-13 in the fourth quarter Tuesday to earn a 49-46 win.

Madisyn Spencer topped the Stockaders (0-3) in the loss wit 14 points, five assists and four steals.

Ashlyn Magers backed her with 10 points, three assists and three steals, Morgan Miller had nine points, seven rebounds and six blocks, and Jenna Clouse netted eight points.

Raiders turn back Arcadia

KANSAS — Josh Kagy led a quartet of double-digit scorers Tuesday as Lakota beat Arcadia 67-56.

Kagy tossed in a game-high 24 points for the Raiders.

Braden Schaser added 13 points, seven assists and three steals for Lakota, and Levi Myers and Tyler Gabel both scored 10 points. Myers dished four assists and Gabel grabbed seven rebounds.
