GOLF: Mike Hoffman and Doyle Magers lead the North Division with 28 1/2 points and Marc Strausser and Matt Hoke are tied with Brandon Stephens and Ryan Monahan with 31 points for the top spot in the South Division in the Baumann Two-Man Scramble Late League at Clinton Heights. Prizes went to Rick Steiner (closest to pin on No. 11), Denny Lofay (long putt on No. 15), John Carroll (closest in two on No. 16) and Tony Scherer (long putt on No. 18). Steiner and Jim Reinhart won a skin at No. 10.
n Jim Carter, John Powell, Forrest White and Gary Kroeger shot an eight under to win the Senior League at Clinton Heights. Prizes went to Gary Espejo (closest in two on No. 13), Don Hammer (closest in three on No. 17) and Don Kin (long putt on No. 14). Hammer also had an eagle.
n Adam Smith and Mark Miller won the final third of the Wednesday Night Men’s Catholic League at Seneca Hills with 137 points. Matt Kleinhenz and Fritz Smith tied for the low gross at 32. Kleinhenz shot a 28 for the low net. Adam Smith and Miller will play Fritz Smith and John Englehart in one semifinal, while Denny Krupp and Bud Witsman take on Gary Hohman and Dick Best in the other.
BOYS JUNIOR VARSITY GOLF: Bellevue topped Shelby on Friday at Sleepy Hollow 196-227. Layne Krupp led the Redmen with a 44, followed by a 46 from Alex Martinez. Hayden Foos and Zach Fischer each shot a 53 while Jackson Moyer carded a 56. Braxton Berry turned in a 65.
