5K RUN/WALK: The Tiffin XC Run for Your Stripes 5K run/walk is Tuesday at Columbian High. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. The race begins at 9 a.m. Cost is $15. For more information, call (440) 823-8484.

BASEBALL: The Robert Bo Reid Memorial Tournament is July 22-23 in Tiffin. There will be 8-under, 10-under and 12-under divisions with individuals awards for first and second place finishers. Entry fee is $200 for 8-under and $300 for 10-under and 12-under. All proceeds will benefit the Tiffin City Parks and Heidelberg “H” Club. n Tiffin Cal Ripken D-League is now taking registration for the 2017 Fall Baseball League. This is open to individual players between the ages of 10 and 13, no matter what town or county they live in. Ten year olds must turn 11 before May 1, 2018 and 13 year olds cannot turn 13 before May 1, 2017. For more information please call Jeff Hohman at (419) 448-7321. BASKETBALL CAMPS: There are a couple July Heidelberg basketball camps. The Berg Basketball Camp hosted by coaches from HU is July 18-21 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. for boys entering grades 2-5 with a cost of $125. The camp highlights include instruction by college coaches through drills, competitions, 3v3 play and 5v5 play, a camp T-shirt and an awards ceremony. For boys entering grades 6-8, it’s July 24-27 at 9 a.m.-3 p.m. with a cost of $125 and the same highlights. For boys entering grades 9-10, the cost is $200 for overnight and $180 for commuters and its an overnight camp July 21-23. It includes housing and meals. Highlights include instruction through drill work and offensive and defensive concepts. It also includes a camp jersey. FOOTBALL: The Tiffin Youth Football draft is July 8 at 9 a.m. in the shelter across from the YMCA for boys and girls entering grades 3-6.

COACHING WORKSHOP: Bellevue Youth Football Foundation, in partnership with The Positive Coaching Alliance, will host a workshop for coaches involved with kids age 8-18. Coaches will be certified by the PCA. The program is geared to refine goals, philosophy and teaching principles that apply to all sports. The workshop has two sessions and runs 10 a.m.-2 p.m. July 15 at Bellevue Elementary. Cost is $35 per person, and $6 per book. Seating is limited to 100. GOLF: Steve Blue and Rex Mellott are tied for first with 69 points in the Old Fort Ex-Hi League. Prizes went to Dave Feller (closest to pin No. 4, closest in second shot No. 8) and Ron Bowlin (long putt No. 6).

n Friday morning’s Senior League at Clinton Heights was won by the team of Tom Rombach, Steve Scheiber, Jon Eakin and John Powell with a score of 7-under. At 6-under was the team of Skip Halcomb, Bob Shultz, Dave Fraley and Gary Kroeger for second place. Prizes went to Rom Ardner (closest to pin on No. 11), Powell (closest in two on No. 13), Fred Smith (closest in three on No. 17) and Jim Carter (long putt on No. 15).

n Fritz Smith and John Englerhart lead the Wednesday Night Men’s Catholic League at Seneca Hills with 118 points with one week left in the this third. Fritz and Adam Smith both shot 33 to tie for low gross. Mark Dircksen and Dennis Joseph tied at 30 for low net.

FALL SPORTS MEETING: Upper Sandusky High School will be hosting a fall sports parent meeting on Monday, July 24 at 7 p.m. in the USHS gym. Parents of all fall sport athletes are expected to attend (excluding golf). There will be a general meeting beginning at 7 p.m. followed by individual sport meetings. RACING: To give the race teams of the Hammer Pallets 410 Sprints another chance to get prepared for the 29th annual Ohio Logistics Brad Doty Classic presented by Racing Optics, Attica Raceway Park has added the division to the July 7 racing program. Due to the rainouts and giving the 410 Sprints another chance, the dirt trucks have been dropped for the schedule. ARP promoter John Bore will keep the $10 general admission ticket price for the event. Hotdogs will be $1 and popcorn is 50 cents. With the double feature for the late models, open pits for fane will not take place.
