OFFICIATING CLASS: Classes to become an OHSAA licensed volleyball official begin Sunday, June 11 at Fostoria High. Anyone interested in taking the class can log on to myohsaa.org for class details. 5K MUD RUN: Fort Seneca Park will host a 5K Mud Run June 17 at 10 a.m. Also, there will be a kids fun run at 9 a.m. Call (419) 455-4028 for more information or to register.

BASEBALL/SOFTBALL: Heidelberg will hold its baseball and softball camp June 12-14 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Peaceful Valley. Cost is $75 per person, which includes lunch and T-shirt; $65 per person if a family has more than one child attending. BASKETBALL: Seneca East will host a shooting camp June 2-3, featuring I’m Possible NBA skills enhancer Anthony Porter. The camp is for boys and girls in fourth through 12th grade. For more information or to register, visit main.possibletraining.com/ohio2007.

n The third annual Hopewell-Loudon Boys Basketball Camp is June 5-7 at the high school for first through seventh graders. Sessions run 8:30-11:30 a.m. Cost is $30. Registration forms are available at the school or via coaches. Registrations and payment must be turned in by Monday to guarantee camp orders are on time. Late registrations will be accepted on site, but camp gifts may be late or not available. Include a T-shirt size and a signed medical waiver for each camper.

BELLEVUE PHYSICALS: Packets for the 2017-18 school year can be picked up during the school day or after school in the high school and middle school principal’s offices. Athletes entering seventh grade must obtain a physical from their own physician. Bellevue Hospital physicians, nurses and physical therapists will offer free physicals May 31 for boys and girls entering grades 8-12. The schedule for May 31 is as follows: seniors 5-5:20 p.m., juniors 5:20-5:45 p.m., sophomores 5:45-6:15 p.m., freshmen 6:15-6:55 p.m., and eighth graders 6:55-7:30 p.m.

GOLF: The FACT (Financial Assistance for Cancer Treatment) golf outing, sponsored by The Armes Family Cancer Care Center (Blanchard Valley Hospital), is June 25 at Loudon Meadows in Fostoria. Cost is $50 per person or $200 per team) for a four-person scramble with prizes awarded to winners in three divisions — men, women and co-ed. The 9:15 a.m. shotgun start includes 18 holes with a cart and lunch. There are four hole-in-one prizes, including a grand prize of $10,000. Entry forms are available at Loudon Meadows or by calling Laura Ritzler at (419) 348-1181. Completed forms with checks made payable to F.A.C.T of Seneca County should be returned to Ritzler, 867 N. St. Route 587, Fostoria, Ohio 44830. The event is limited to the first 25 paid entries.

n Ray Krupp, Gene Sherer, Dutch Edeburn and Monte Scott shot 5 under to win Thursday’s Retirees League at Seneca Hills. Prizes went to Gary Kroeger (closest to pin No. 18) and Scott (long putt No. 11).

n Jim Peer and Jim Myers lead the North Division with 33 points and Nub Scherger and Doug Strausser lead the South Division with 30 1/2 points in the Clinton Heights Baumann Two-Man Scramble Late League. Prizes went to Matt Hoke (long putt No. 3), Denny Lofay (closest in two No. 4), Mark Smith (closest to pin No. 5) and Derek Lewis (closest in three No. 9). Rick Steiner and Jim Reinhart fired a 32 for the low gross. Skins went to Howard Hohman and Len Goshen on No. 2, Steiner and Reinhart on No. 3 and No. 6, and Scherger and Strausser on No. 7.

n The 2017 Miletti Open is June 11 at Seneca Hills. Cost is $60 per player for the four-person scramble, which has an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. The event will also include two hole-in-one contests, door prizes, range balls, a Carmie’s barbecue and awards presentation. Proceeds benefit Calvert athletics. n Denny Krupp and Bud Witsman lead the Men’s Catholic League at Seneca Hills with 128 points with one week left in the first-third. Mike Porter shot low gross with a 35 and shot the low net as well with a 31.

VOLLEYBALL: The Black Swamp Volleyball Club is hosting several skill sessions Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6-8 p.m. for $10 per athlete ages nine and up. YOUTH CAMP: Heidelberg Athletics kicks off its summer slate with an All-Sports Camp for children entering grades 1-6. Attendees will create a personalized day comprised of three mini-camps offered by all 22 Berg athletic teams. Cost is $25 per camper for pre-registered children and $30 for walk-up registration.
