NEW RIEGEL — Fremont St. Joe trailed by 10 entering the fourth quarter, but outscored New Riegel 23-12 from there Thursday to capture a 46-45 Sandusky Bay Conference victory.

Brianna Gillig nearly had a double-double for the Blue Jackets in the loss, turning in 25 points and eight rebounds.

Haley Hoepf backed her with 10 points.

The Crimson Streaks benefited from New Riegel’s turnovers, scoring 25 points off 27 turnovers.

Stockaders thump Panthers for piece of SBC River crown

SANDUSKY — Old Fort took control early Thursday in a 73-49 thumping of Sandusky St. Mary, clinching a share of the Sandusky Bay Conference River Division title.

The Stockaders (19-3), who ended in a tie atop the standings with Fremont St. Joe at 11-1, led 17-2 at the first stop and 42-21 at halftime.

Allison Adelsperger sparked the attack with 23 points and six steals, Peyton Miller added 15 points and seven assists, and Jordan Magers chipped in six points, 10 rebounds and four steals.

Tigers slip

past Chieftains

BASCOM — North Baltimore edged Hopewell-Loudon 56-55 Thursday in Blanchard Valley Conference play.

The Tigers trailed 29-27 at halftime, but outscored H-L 13-6 in the third period and held on from there.

Bailey Boyer led the winners with 14 points and four assists, Alivia Light added 13 points and four steals and Kia Powell tallied 10 points and seven rebounds.

Brooklyn Arbogast topped everyone with 23 points and 17 boards for the Chieftains. Jacque Burns tossed in 14 points.

USV trips Mohawk

SYCAMORE — Upper Scioto Valley only scored two points in the third quarter, but still managed to upend Mohawk 38-36 Thursday.

Mohawk (11-11) outscored the Rams 9-2 in the third quarter to take a 28-26 lead, but Upper Scioto Valley used a 12-8 advantage in the fourth to get the win.

Chelsey Trusty led the Warriors with 26 points in the loss. Beth Dundore grabbed eight rebounds.

Clyde closes out perfect SBC run

CLYDE — Three players combined to outscore Vermilion as Clyde capped a perfect run through the Sandusky Bay Conference Bay Division with a 75-43 win Thursday.

Heidi Marshall tossed in 22 points for the Fliers, who ended the regular season 19-3 and 14-0 in the SBC Bay Division.

Addie Martin chipped in 15 points and Maddie Bannister netted 12.

Emily Wagner’s 13 points and Caitlyn Schnur’s 10 paced the Sailors (7-15, 3-11).

Elmwood boots FHS

BLOOMDALE — Elmwood rolled past Fostoria 75-45 Thursday in Northern Buckeye Conference play.

Tyriana Settles scored 12 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the Redmen (7-15, 4-10 NBC) in the loss.

Gabby Gregg added nine points and Meredith Grine tossed in eight.
