RESULTS POLICY: Coaches turning in results for any sport are reminded to use full names for all athletes. Handwriting must be legible. Photos of scorebooks must be in focus and well lit. Records should be included. Results for high school and college events must be turned in that day by 10 p.m., barring extenuating circumstances (overtime, late start, etc.) All other events must be turned in by 8 p.m. Results can be turned in via E-mail at, fax at (419) 447-3472, telephone at (419) 448-3250 or in the drop box by the paper’s front door at 320 Nelson St. Results must be turned in the day of the event. Depending on time constraints, games and events turned in which do not include full names or are turned in late may not have recaps written about them. Results which are unreadable will not be included in the paper.

GIRLS BASKETBALL: Old Fort rolled past Lakota 83-40 in Sandusky Bay Conference play. Allison Adelsperger scored 17 points for the Stockaders (8-0), Sydney Clouse had 15 points and six rebounds, Sydney Hossler tossed in 14 points and Morgan Miller added eight points and five boards. The Raiders got 14 points from Samantha Wallace and nine points from Kaitlyn Mogle.

MEN’S BASKETBALL: Tiffin University (5-7) takes on Carlow University (2-11) in a 3 p.m. contest  today at the Gillmor Center. Admission is free.

JV GIRLS BASKETBALL: Sandra Pennington tallied 19 points and five rebounds to lead Mohawk past Seneca East 31-26.n Carey edged Buckeye Central 37-36.n Old Fort beat Lakota 58-31.

JV BOYS BASKETBALL: Dylan Sheets scored 18 points and Devin Mauricio added 16 to fuel Fostoria’s 83-28 win against Northwood in the Northwood Holiday Classic semifinals. Fostoria will play Evergreen today in the finals.

OLD FORT: Adam Alexander and Jeff Miller will be inducted into the Old Fort Athletic Hall of Fame in today’s home boys’ basketball game. The ceremony will occur between the JV and varsity games.

BOWLING: Ken Jones rolled a 177 game and Bob Reinhart had a 344 series to lead the men’s portion of the Allen Eiry Center League. Bonnie Steinmetz’s 150 took the women’s high game and Sandy Smith had a 262 for the high series. Paul Fey converted a pair of 3-10 splits, and Jeanette Lynch converted a 2-7 split.
