TC’s Anderson, Bellevue’s Turner win at Norwalk
NORWALK – Jacob Anderson and Tanner Schreiner ran 1-2 for the Columbian boys Tuesday and Lauren Turner won the girls race for Bellevue at a Northern Ohio League tri-meet at Norwalk.
For the boys, Norwalk won with 29 points, TC had 42 points and Bellevue totaled 63 points.
Anderson ran in 16:51, while Schreiner finished in 17:12. Brayden Shedrick (14th, 18:39), Kerrick Fanning (15th, 18:44) and Jacob Marquis (17th, 19:29) rounded out TC.
For Bellevue, Landon Woodard was fifth (17:42), Zach Cleveland eighth (18:10), Dwight Fuehring 19th (20:01), Austin Thompson 23rd (21:57) and Dylan Adkins 24th (21:58).
The Bellevue girls won the meet (25), while Columbian was second (43) and Norwalk came in third (57).
For the Lady Red, Turner crossed the line in 21:14 for the victory. Bellevue also got a third from Taylor Waldecker (21:23), a fifth from Liz Ish (21:38), a sixth from Lindsey Spurlock (21:55) and a 10th by Madison Raifsnider (22:43).
Violet Huffman crossed the finish line in second (21:18) for TC, while Hailey Cortez was fourth (21:26), Anna Fletcher placed ninth (22:42), Sierra Steinmetz was 12th (23:17) and Cana Ingalls finished 16th (23:41).
