Kin leads Carey in N10 victory

CAREY – Carey overpowered Mohawk 25-16, 25-23, 25-16 Tuesday in Northern 10 Athletic Conference play.

Sydney Kin smacked 12 kills and made three blocks for the Blue Devils (11-5, 8-3 N10), while Mckenzie Row added seven kills and nine digs, Hannah Zimmerman tallied six kills, three aces and 10 digs, Jenna Smalley posted 23 assists and 10 digs and Dana Worst finished with nine digs.

Addie Thiery tallied nine kills and three digs for the Warriors (12-4, 8-3) in the loss and Chelsey Trusty had 24 assists and three digs.

Destini Oler and Emily Conner each belted seven kills, with Oler adding four digs and Conner getting three. Emily Pursell came up with 20 digs, Kaylee Ward had 10 digs and three kills, Kennedy Jeffrey chipped in eight digs and Madi Chester had three digs.

Rams roll Ridgedale

UPPER SANDUSKY – Upper Sandusky escaped in the first game and rolled from there, dropping Northern 10 Athletic Conference foe Ridgedale 26-24, 25-10, 25-17 Tuesday.

Alaney Oney’s nine kills, two aces and six digs paced the Rams, while Rachel Martin smacked eight kills and had five digs.

Lucy Smith tossed up 29 assists and had nine digs, Hannah Gier slammed six aces, Erika Rosario tallied 20 digs and two aces and Bre Rosario had eight digs and two aces.

Bellevue sweeps Ontario

ONTARIO – Payton Vogel collected nine kills, four aces and a pair of blocks for Bellevue to help the Lady Red beat Ontario 25-12, 25-14, 25-21 Tuesday in Northern Ohio League play.

Backing up Vogel was Morgan Hicks with six kills, four aces and six digs, while Allison Dendinger and McKenna Strayer both smashed three kills. Molly Bullion tallied a pair of aces and 20 assists, Abbey Yates served three aces and made eight digs and Maycie Buckner ended with seven digs.

NR cruises past Lakota

NEW RIEGEL – Brianna Gillig’s team-high 19 kills troubled Lakota Tuesday as New Riegel swept the Raiders 25-11, 25-18, 25-9 in Sandusky Bay Conference action.

Gillig added three aces and a pair of digs for the Blue Jackets (10-5, 6-2 SBC), while Lindsay Bouillon added five kills, 16 assists and four digs, Shelby Mathias pounded six kills, Christen Hohman collected four aces and eight digs, Kylie Tiell made 15 digs and Tiffany Hemminger finished with three kills.

Fliers get above .500 in SBC play

CLYDE – Clyde notched its 11th win Tuesday as it swept Perkins 25-21, 25-23, 25-23 in a Sandusky Bay Conference matchup.

Grace Borden recorded 14 kills, five blocks and 12 digs for the Fliers (11-5, 5-4 SBC). Jacey Groover totaled 12 kills, nine blocks and five digs, Alicia Carter-Koonce added five kills, five blocks and four digs, Heidi Marshall registered nine kills and 19 digs and Maddie Greenslade ended with four kills, six blocks and five digs.

Sydnee Kreiger-Helms made 23 digs, while Megan Smith had 11.

Redmen double down on Lake

FOSTORIA – Three Fostoria players turned in double-doubles Tuesday as the Redmen dropped Lake 25-21, 25-16, 27-25 in Northern Buckeye Conference play.

Tyriana Settles (2 solo blocks) led the way with 23 kills and 15 digs, Meme Settles tallied 10 kills and 15 digs and Gabby Gregg (2 kills) went 101 for 102 setting with 40 assists while also providing 10 digs.

Evion Taylor backed them with 15 digs and four kills for FHS (12-5, 6-3 NBC), Bailey Robinson belted seven kills, Valencia Cousin (2 aces) had seven digs, Meredith Grine slammed three solo blocks and three kills, Madison Gillig chipped in three digs and Alex Talley had two kills and two digs.

St. Joe outlasts Calvert

Calvert and Fremont St. Joe went to five sets, but St. Joe walked away with a Sandusky Bay Conference win, 25-23, 23-25, 25-11, 17-25, 15-7.

For Calvert, Lexie White tallied 19 kills and 20 digs, while Lila Gehring added seven kills and five digs, Mallary Neilsen tacked on four kills and a block and Sophie Burtis added two kills and 17 assists.

Shelby Hemminger totaled five aces and 35 digs, Kennedy Smith registered 10 assists and 14 digs and Sidney Felter ended with 26 digs.

TC can’t hold off Shelby

Shelby overcame a two-game deficit and a great night of serving by Columbian’s Hunter Breidenbach to claim a Northern Ohio League win Tuesday.

Columbian (7-12, 2-5 NOL) won the first two games 25-20, 25-22 before falling 25-13, 25-16, 15-4 in the final three.

Breidenbach paced the Tornadoes in the loss with 15 aces and 10 assists.

Emily Davis backed her with 12 kills, nine digs, four aces and four block assists, and Emily Bogard hammered seven blocks and four kills.

Macey Allen added 14 digs, five kills and three aces, Niki Cole had 20 assists and four kills, Abby Dryfuse contributed six kills, three aces, three blocks and four digs, and Anna Latona lined three kills.
