Clouse lines 16 kills, Stockaders record a sweep over Senecas

OLD FORT – Sydney Clouse smashed 16 kills, and Old Fort rolled to a 25-7, 25-12, 25-15 win over Calvert Tuesday.

Kiely Taylor added 11 kills and three aces for the Stockaders, while Allison Adelsperger dished out 38 assists, three digs and three kills.

Peyton Miller added 17 digs, Mackenzie Ward had six kills and nine digs and Caylie Menkoff and Thalia Lopez each contributed five digs.

Calvert was paced by Shelby Hemminger’s 24 digs and three kills, while Lexie White had nine digs and three kills. Sophie Burtis had six digs and five assists, while Lila Gehring had four kills.

Blue Jackets

sweep Mohawks

NEW RIEGEL – Brianna Gillig pounded 15 kills and made three digs for New Riegel as the Blue Jackets got past St. Wendelin 25-11, 25-14, 25-20 Tuesday in Sandusky Bay Conference action.

Lindsay Bouillon added nine kills, three aces and 13 assists for the Blue Jackets (8-5, 4-2 SBC), while Shelby Mathias smacked five kills, Haley Hoepf added four kills and three assists, Emily Hohman served four aces and Christen Hohman made nine digs.

Blue Devils tame Tigers

CAREY – The first two games were close, but Carey was able to pull away in the third game and defeat Seneca East.

The Blue Devils took down the Tigers 32-30, 25-23, 25-19.

Carey’s Sydney Kin had another big night, with 22 kills and four blocks, while teammate Hannah Zimmerman had 20 digs and eight kills. Jenna Smalley had 20 assists, while Lawyer Stansberry had 17 assists. McKenzie Row and Jessica Johnson had six kills each. Row added 17 digs, while Dana Worst had 17.

Taylor Gimenez dished out 16 assists and added five blocks for the Tigers, while Jillian Allgyre dished out nine assists and 13 digs. Amber Hescht added 16 digs, while Aubrey Saylors had 10 kills and 13 digs.

Truckers get past TC

Norwalk took care of Columbian Tuesday, beating the Tornadoes 25-11, 25-13, 25-10.

Emily Bogard served four aces and added three kills for TC, while Macy Allen came up with six digs, Niki Cole had two kills, three digs and four assists and Abby Dryfuse had two blocks.

The Tornadoes slipped to 4-9, 2-4 in the Northern Ohio League.

Karl, BC blast Royals

BUCYRUS – Jenna Karl put up a double-double, and Buckeye Central traveled to Wynford and upended the Royals, 25-10, 25-18, 25-16.

Karl had 13 kills and 12 digs to go along with two aces, and Sarah Heydinger smashed 10 kills for the Bucks. Erin Baldosser had six kills, 12 digs and two aces, while Addie Ackerman dished out 34 assists and Bailey Agin had 16 digs.

Mohawk bests

Gibsonburg in four

SYCAMORE – Destini Oler had 13 kills and 12 digs, and Emily Pursell handed out 30 assists as Mohawk got past Gibsonburg in four games, 25-13, 25-27, 25-15, 25-15.

Addie Thiery came up with 13 kills and 10 digs, while Madi Chester had eight kills, 17 digs and four aces. Chelsey Trusty had 45 assists for the Warriors, while also contributing 21 digs.

Emily Conner added eight kills.

Eagles fly past Rams

NORTH ROBINSON – Colonel Crawford registered a three game win over Upper Sandusky Tuesday, beating the Rams 25-16, 25-18, 25-20.

The Rams were led by Alaney Oney, who had seven kills, and Rachel Martin, who had five. Kamryn Huston had 10 digs, and Lucy Smith came up with 14 assists.

Clyde evens conference mark

CASTALIA – It took four games, but Clyde evened its Sandusky Bay Conference record by knocking off Margaretta, 25-15, 25-16, 23-25, 25-20.

With the victory, the Fliers improved to 7-5 overall, 4-4 in the SBC.

Grace Borden and Jacey Groover tied for the team lead with 12 kills each, while Sydnee Krieger-Helms came up with 31 digs. Alicia Carter-Koonce had eight kills, three blocks and seven digs.

Megan Smith had 11 digs, while Morgan Bannister handed out 41 assists and five digs. Heidi Marshall had eight kills and 22 digs, while Maddie Greenslade put up four kills and three blocks.

Redmen slain by Knights

FOSTORIA – Three Fostoria players turned in double-doubles Tuesday, but Otsego beat the Redmen 25-23, 20-25, 25-21, 25-20 in a Northern Buckeye Conference match.

Tyriana Settles topped FHS (11-4, 5-2 NBC) with 30 kills and 25 digs, Meme Settles (2 aces) tallied 15 digs and 13 kills and Gabby Gregg (2 kills) went 120 for 122 setting for 45 assists and turned in 15 digs.

Evion Taylor and Bailey Robinson (2 aces) each backed them with 11 digs, and Meredith Grine lined five kills.
