Bluffton shuts out Upper Sandusky

UPPER SANDUSKY – Bluffton notched a goal early in the first half, and then shut out Upper Sandusky defensively for a 1-0 win over the Rams Tuesday.

Sarah Theisen scored the goal for the Pirates (4-4, 1-2 North Central Ohio Soccer Association), while Abbie Parkins had the assist.

Both teams had seven shots on goal, but the Rams (6-2-1, 2-2-1) had more corner kicks, 4-2. Jadyn Barhorst made seven saves in net for Bluffton, and Kate Ritchey made six for Upper Sandusky.

TC, C-R play to draw

Though Columbian’s Carly Schafer and Briell Caine had scoring opportunities Tuesday night, neither TC nor Cory-Rawson could muster up a goal in a 0-0 draw.

Lydia Arnold and Rachel Repp led the TC defense as Maddie Brisendine made 11 saves in net for Columbian (2-5-1).
