BC sweeps Mohawk, remains unbeaten in N10

SYCAMORE – It was a battle between the top two teams in the Northern 10 Athletic Conference Thursday, but a battle it wasn’t in the end. Buckeye Central dominated Mohawk in a 25-16, 25-19, 25-15 sweep.

Jenna Karl led the way for the Bucks (12-1, 9-0 N10) with 14 kills, 18 digs and four blocks, while Sarah Heydinger added eight kills and a pair of blocks. Emily Stump smashed seven kills and made a pair of blocks, Lexi Evak tallied six kills and a block and Erin Baldosser finished with six kills and 11 digs. Bailey Agin made 10 digs, while Claire Songer added eight, and Addie Ackerman dished 37 assists and served three aces.

Addie Thiery pounded 11 kills and made a pair of blocks for Mohawk (11-3, 7-2), while Destini Oler tacked on six kills, seven digs and two blocks, Chelsey Trusty added three kills, 21 assists, nine digs and a pair of aces, Emily Conner collected four digs and three blocks, Madi Chester had two aces and six digs and Emily Pursell finished with 16 digs.

White fuels Senecas

FOSTORIA – Calvert’s Lexie White posted a double-double of 23 kills and 14 digs in a 25-16, 25-14, 23-25, 25-11 Sandusky Bay Conference defeat.

White was backed by Lile Gehring (four kills, five aces) and Madison Jones (four kills, four blocks). Shelby Hemminger recorded three kills, four aces and 15 digs, Mallary Nielsen added thee kills and a pair of blocks, Sophie Burtis collected a pair of aces, 18 assists and six digs and Kennedy Smith ended up with 14 assists and 10 digs.

For St. Wendelin (3-13, 2-5 SBC), Peighton Troike lined nine kills and made three blocks, while Taiah Douglas and Kayla Hunter each had four kills.

Hannah Burns added 11 assists and 12 digs and Hannah Kelbley finished with 10 assists and five digs. Sydney Johnson made 11 digs.

Tigers sweep Rockets

MORRAL – Seneca East made quick work of Ridgedale Thursday as the Tigers swept the Rockets 25-5, 25-14, 25-10 in Northern 10 Athletic Conference play.

Taylor Gimenez pounded 13 kills and made five blocks for Seneca East (3-11, 3-6 N10), while Aubrey Saylors had seven kills, a pair of blocks and five aces, Jillian Allgyre dished out 11 assists and Megan Siesel ended with five kills.

Miller records 1,000th dig in romp

OLD FORT – Old Fort dominated Sandusky St. Mary Thursday for a 25-11, 25-17, 25-12 Sandusky Bay Conference victory.

Peyton Miller, who had 12 digs, recorded her 1,000th career dig for the Stockaders.

Sydney Clouse lined 15 kills and made three blocks, Kiely Taylor collected two aces, nine kills and six digs, Morgan Miller added five kills, Jordan Magers totaled two kills and 10 digs and Caylie Menkhoff and Mackenzie Ward each made seven digs.

Allison Adelsperger dished 30 assists and smacked two kills.

Redmen tumble on the road

PEMBERVILLE – Eastwood dropped Fostoria 25-21, 25-8, 25-21 Thursday in Northern Buckeye Conference play.

Tyriana Settles and Gabby Gregg both had double-doubles for the Redmen (11-5, 5-3 NBC) in the loss. Settles (2 solo blocks, 2 aces) tallied 20 kills and 20 digs, and Gregg had 28 assists and 10 digs.

Meme Settles added eight digs and six kills, Bailey Robinson had five digs and Meredith Grine lined two kills.

Willard tops Bellevue in 4

WILLARD – Bellevue took the first set Thursday, but Willard then won three straight as the Crimson Flashes beat the Lady Red 22-24, 25-16, 25-21, 25-22 in Northern Ohio League play.

For Bellevue, Payton Vogel smashed 10 kills and made four blocks, while Jenna Strayer tacked on eight kills, Allison Dendinger chipped in four kills, Molly Bullion collected three aces, 25 assists and 26 digs and Abbey Yates finished with two aces and 18 digs. Morgan hicks and Sophia Pressler each made 12 digs.

L-B holds off Rams

FINDLAY – Upper Sandusky kept things close with Liberty-Benton, but in the end, that’s all it could do in a 25-23, 27-25, 25-23 defeat in non-league play.

Rachel Martin lined 12 kills and made three blocks for the Rams. Tori Damron posted seven kills and eight blocks, Alaney Oney hit six kills, made five blocks and 11 digs, Kenedi Hayden added five kills, Lucy Smith collected two aces, three blocks, 19 digs and 34 assists and Erika Rosario ended with 35 digs. Hannah Gier tallied 12 digs, Kamryn Huston had 17 and Bre Rosario finished with 12.

Gillig hammers St. Joe

NEW RIEGEL – Brianna Gillig pounded 17 kills and made 10 digs for New Riegel as the Blue Jackets swept Fremont St. Joe 25-22, 25-19, 25-23 in Sandusky Bay Conference play.

Shelby Mathias and Lindsay Bouillon added five kills apiece for the Blue Jackets (9-5, 5-2 SBC), while Bouillon added 16 assists and nine digs. Emily Peters smacked four kills, Kylie Tiell added 12 assists and Christen Hohman ended with a pair of aces and 16 digs.

Carey continues to struggle on the road

NORTH ROBINSON – Carey dropped another road match Thursday as Colonel Crawford swept the Blue Devils 25-20, 25-22, 25-18 in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference matchup.

Sydney Kin was held to just 12 kills, 11 digs and six blocks for the Blue Devils (9-5, 6-3 N10), while Hannah Zimmerman recorded six kills and Mckenzie Rox smashed seven kills. Jenna Smalley added 11 digs and 27 assists, Dana Worst made 10 digs and Lauren Barger made a pair of blocks.

Carey is now 2-5 on the road this season.
