The Student Princes (8-10) took a 1-0 lead in the second when T.J. Harnkess lined a two-out single to score Evan Long. Denison (7-3) threatened in the top of the fifth, getting two singles. But Heidelberg starter Kyle Fluharty (2-3) struck out Jake Meegan, who couldn't get a bunt down, then induced an inning-ending 4-3 double play. The Student Princes came up big in the bottom of the frame.
