Rams roll in N10 opener

UPPER SANDUSKY – Upper Sandusky dropped Northern 10 Athletic Conference foe Carey 25-17, 25-12, 25-10 Thursday.

Molly Owens had 14 kills while Jessi Holly had 11 kills, two blocks and four aces to pace the Rams (1-1, 1-0 N10) in the win. Jenna Holly had 14 digs and three aces, Emma Smith had 22 assists and Kalene Johnson added six kills.

Sydney Wentling’s 16 assists and seven digs sparked the Blue Devils (3-1, 0-1 N10) in the loss.

Shelby Kin lined 10 kills and Adrienne Hackworth had 12 digs and three kills.

Warriors take N10 debut

SYCAMORE – Mohawk used a balanced attack Thursday to win its inaugural Northern 10 Athletic Conference outing, dropping Colonel Crawford 25-7, 25-13, 25-11.

Mya Morris and Sheyanne Wilhelm each slammed eight kills to lead the Warriors (2-0, 1-0). Hannah Kieffer added seven kills and Addie Thiery lined six. Stacy Clouse set them up to the tune of 32 assists.

Defensively, MacKenzie Sowers picked up 27 digs and Ali Konkle had 20 digs to go along with four kills and four aces.

Thiery and Kieffer each had three aces.

Bucks open strong

NEW WASHINGTON – Buckeye Central dispatched of Seneca East in Thursday’s Northern 10 Athletic Conference opener. It was also the season opener for the Bucks, who looked in midseason form posting a 25-9, 25-14, 25-9 win.

For Seneca East (1-3, 0-1) Taylor Gimenez had five kills and Amber Hescht had eight digs.

Redmen take out Waite

FOSTORIA – Asia Settles and Justice Lentz each came up with 10 digs Thursday as Fostoria upended Toledo Waite 25-19, 25-14, 25-12.

Lentz added three kills for the Redmen (1-1), Maddie Gillig tallied four aces and two digs, Lili Velazquez had three aces and two digs, and Lexi Fretz and Luchauna Smith both served two aces.
