Dull medalist in Fostoria

FOSTORIA – Lakota’s Makayla Dull led all scorers Thursday at Loudon Meadows, and helped the Raiders claim a tri-meet.

The defending Division II girls state champion fired a 38, gaining medalist honors as Lakota finished with a 171. St. Wendelin scored a 188, while Old Fort had a 207.

Josh Mason helped Lakota with a 43, while Hunter Chalfin shot a 44 and Collin Gosche shot a 46.

Peter Campbell topped the Mohawks with a 41, while Old Fort’s Adam Alexander registered a 43 for the Stockaders.

Rams bunch up scores

BUCYRUS – All four Upper Sandusky scorers shot 44 or better Thursday as the Rams captured a triangular at Bucyrus Country Club.

The Rams beat Colonel Crawford 172-185, with Bucyrus shooting a 219.

Shane Stansbery’s 41 for Upper Sandusky (4-2, 1-1 Northern 10 Athletic Conference) led all players, and Evan Scheck shot a 43.

Colonel Crawford’s Noah Trease and Nick Gremling both tallied a 43. Bucyrus got a 54 apiece from Jesse Heinle, Keith Smith and Jacob Chavatzas.

Chieftains take tri

FOSTORIA – Bryce Gorrell fired a 41 Thursday to spearhead Hopewell-Loudon’s victory in a triangular at Fostoria Country Club.

Tyler Rohe backed Gorrell with a 47 to help the Chieftains shoot a 191.

Fremont St. Joe turned in a 212 and New Riegel had a 224.

Christian Smith’s 47 and Collin Spader’s 50 paced St. Joe.

New Riegel got twin 55s from Travis Williams and Andrew Faber.

H-L girls knock off Stockaders

BETTSVILLE – Gabby Gregg’s 48 was good for medalist honors, and Hopewell-Loudon’s girls team won big over Old Fort, 211-238.

Abby Park shot a 53 for the Chieftains, who won their first match of the season.

Old Fort’s Jordan Magers shot a 54 to lead the Stockaders.

Dangler sparks Green Bears

Luke Dangler scored three times and two teammates each had a pair of goals Thursday as Ottawa Hills blanked Calvert 9-0 at Frost-Kalnow Stadium.

Nick Houck and Dan Riley each had two goals for the Green Bears (1-0).

The other goals came from Noah Durst and Spencer Bergman.

Anthony Traxler stopped 23 shots for the Senecas (0-2) in the loss. Calvert managed five shots.
