RACING: The Chasing Christ 5K Run/Walk is June 28 in Galion, starting at the First Lutheran Church at 127. S. Columbus St. Race-day registration costs $20 and runs 7:30-8:45 a.m. The race starts at 9 a.m. There is a free breakfast at the church after the race. n Attica Raceway Park will start the 32nd Annual Ohio Sprint Speed Week Friday. The University of North Western Ohio (UNOH) All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Cars will have a $5,000 to win feature. The Attica Raceway Park / Wayne County Speedway Late Model Challenge Series will have a $1,500 to win feature. The pit gates open at 3:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7:45 p.m. Adult admission is $22, $20 for Seniors, $10 for ages 11-15, free to ages 10 and younger, $35 for a pit pass. FOOTBALL: Columbian will hold a camp July 22-24 for students entering fourth through eighth grade. Sessions run 9-11:30 a.m. Cost is $30. VOLLEYBALL: New Riegel’s volleyball team will host a sand volleyball tournament June 21 at Bubby’s in New Riegel. Registration begins at 8 a.m., with play starting at 10 a.m. Cost is $60 per team, with a 20-team limit. Each team must have at least two females on the court at all times. TRACK: The PC Express Invitational is Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Columbus Grove for athletes age 6-18. Cost is $5 per athlete to compete. BASKETBALL: The Tiffin University women’s basketball team will host a camp for boys and girls age 6-14 June from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, with the last day running 9 a.m.-noon. Price is $50 for one or $75 for two and includes a T-shirt. Campers are to bring their own lunch daily. There will be a refrigerator to place lunches in. Pizza will be available for $1.50 per slice. GOLF: The Tiffin Youth Football League will host its annual four-person scramble June 28 at Seneca Hills. Registration opens at 7 a.m. with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Cost per person is $50 that includes 18 holes of golf, golf cart, lunch, prize holes and a sports memorabilia auction. All proceeds benefit the Tiffin Youth Football teams. Hole sponsorship is $100. n In the Baumanns’ 2-Man Scramble at Clinton Heights, the winners of the first third are Howard Hohman and Lenny Goshe (North Division) with 34 points. In the South Division, John Beckman and Vernon Burkholder are tied with Mark Griffin and Mike Mike Griffin at 34 1/2 points. SPEED CAMP: There will be a speed and agility camp Monday through Friday and July 14-18 at Tiffin University’s Hanson Fitness Center. The camp is for both boys and girls grades 3-8 of all sports and ability levels. Pre-registration is $50 each or $80 for both. The day of camp cost is $65.
