USHS boys third at NCC Championship
NORTH ROBINSON – Upper Sandusky’s boys collected three wins Friday in North Robinson, which helped the Rams place third at the North Central Conference Meet.
The Rams scored 112 points overall, while Colonel Crawford won the meet with 156 1/2 points. Buckeye Central finished seventh with 39 1/2 points.
On the girls’ side, the Rams placed sixth (55 points), while Buckeye Central was seventh (31). Galion won with 169 1/2 points.
In the boys’ meet, the Rams’ Jacob Wages won the shot in 47-9 1/2, while teammate Anthony Reep won the 110 hurdles in 16.28. Upper Sandusky’s final win came from Garrett Miller, who won the 3,200 in 10:29.71.
Buckeye Central’s lone victory came from Lane Sautter, who claimed the discus in 142 1/2.
In the girls’ meet, the Rams were paced by a pair of second-place finishes: Anna Massara in the pole vault (10 feet) and Mallory Weininger in the high jump (5-2).
Buckeye Central got fifth-place finishes from Aubrey Wright in the high jump (4-8) and Tamara Metzger in the 1,600 (6:03.57).
