Dragons fall off the pace at regional

EUREKA, Mo. – Tiffin University fell from fourth to a tie for 11th on the final day at the NCAA Division II Midwest/Central Regional at Fox Run Golf Club.

The Dragons shot a 300 in the first round and a 297 in the second, but stumbled to a 321 Wednesday to tie Indianapolis for 11th with a 918 total.

Tyler Maranville finished tied for 29th with a 227 to lead TU’s individuals. John Tidenberg ended one stroke back in a tie for 34th, with Corey Martinez tying for 53rd (231), Luke Schlicher tying for 60th (232) and Brett Green taking 101st (246).

Malone held off Central Missouri 886-893 for the team team crown, with Saginaw Valley State jumping 12 spots on the final day to claim third with an 896. All three advance to the championship round.
