Colonel Crawford girls win N10 meet

MORRAL – Colonel Crawford’s girls track team flew past the competition Thursday night in the N10 Invitational at Ridgedale High School, scoring 154 points.

It was a far cry from second-place Wynford, who tallied 117. Upper Sandusky finished fourth in meet with 70, a point ahead of Carey. Mohawk finished with 66, followed by Seneca East with 36. Buckeye Central checked in eighth with 33 points.

Mohawk had two first-place finishers with Shauna Leeth winning the 3,200 run (12:37) and the 3,200 relay team of Leeth, Natalie Ford, McKenzie Richardson and Kayla Risner taking top honors in 11:00.3.

Carey’s 4×200 relay and 4×100 relay teams both won. The 4×200 relay of Shelby Craig, Amber Spurlock, Gwen Wentling and Courtney Palte finished in 1:53.5.

Spurlock, Craig, Kate Elchert and Haley Heinze combined for a 54.36 in the 4×100 relay.

Upper Sandusky also had a first-place finish from Mallory Weininger, who hopped 5-0 in the high jump.

Kirsten Camp earned Seneca East’s best finish of the day with a runner-up in the long jump competition, going 15-11 on the day.

Buckeye Central’s top finish went to Lizbeth Figuroa, who finished fourth in the 3,200 run with a time of 14:01.
