Seneca East boys second at own Tiger Relays
ATTICA – Seneca East’s boys claimed four races Saturday on their way to second overall at their own Tiger Relays.
Colonel Crawford held off the Tigers 97-93 for the championship.
Wesley Pipher, Jason Willman and Jared Stockmaster helped the Tigers take the 4×1,600 (21:42.3) and 4×800 (9:28.0), and Ben Frankart, William Sampson and Hunter Saylors helped them win the shuttle hurdle (1:06.9) and 4×200 hurdles (2:07.3).
Bryce Watson filled out the 4×1,600, Rob Schaffer ran on the 4×800, Cory Depinet rounded out the shuttle hurdle relay, and Garett Boeser also ran the 4×200 hurdles.
Carey ended eighth with 27 1/2 points and New Riegel finished 12th (2).
Carey’s Morgan Blair, Leah Kuhlman and Joanna Worst captured the triple jump (77-9) for the only win by area girls. The Blue Devils wound up sixth with 42 points.
Seneca East came in ninth (18).
