Rams get a win in Carey

CAREY – Upper Sandusky and Carey locked up Wednesday, and the Rams were just too much tossing the Blue Devils 42-21.

Upper Sandusky’s Thurston Dyer pinned 113-pounder Justin Schlack (1:08), 120 pound Keegan Gullifer had a tech fall over Dylan Kincade 16-0, Derek Hansen pinned Brent Mullholand (:37) at 126 pounds and Carson Mengerick picked up a tech fall over Dylan Pratt, 15-0, at 138 pounds.

160-pounder Alex Kenner pinned Carey’s Seth Rehus (1:23), Nate Payne scored the decision over Bryce Tackett 4-0 at 170 pounds while Derek Thomas scored the decision over 182-pounder Brady Mullholand, 4-2.

Upper Sandusky’s last set of victories were by Dylan Robertson at 195 pounds, scoring the decision over John Rcheter (3-2) and by 220-pounder Tylor Pritchard, who got a tech fall against Zach Sauber 17-1.

Carey’s Jevyn Pratt had a forfeit at 106 pounds, Kyler Dyer scored a major decision over 132-pounder Steven Richmond (10-2), Zach Brodman took the 145-pound match with a 20-4 tech fall over Luis Ayala, 152-pounder Cody Ferguson scored a major decision over Troy Landrum 11-1 and Marcus O’Flaherty scored a decision over Collin Brown, 1-0, in the 285-pound match.
