Devils pushed in OT, but stay perfect
CAREY – Arlington erased a seven-point deficit to force overtime, but Carey maintained its perfect record Monday with a 45-41 win.
The Blue Devils (8-0) led 31-24 at the end of the third period, but Arlington (7-2) rallied for a 13-6 burst in the fourth. Carey countered by doubling up the Red Devils 8-4 in the extra period.
Ali Rymer sparked Carey with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Logan Johnson added 14 points, but no other Blue Devil scored more than four points.
Sydney Wentling chipped in four points and five assists.
Haley Dillon tossed in 12 points for Arlington and Lauren Alexander backed her with 10.
Bucyrus clips Warriors
SYCAMORE – Bucyrus slipped past Mohawk 56-54 Monday.
Kasey Adelsperger’s 22 points and seven rebounds led the Warriors in the loss.
Julie Adelsperger added 14 points, Ally Weinandy scored eight points and Taylor McClain had 10 assists and three steals.
