4 Tornadoes named first team All-NOL

For the second-straight year, Columbian went unblemished through the Northern Ohio League slate en route to a league title. In recognition of its effort, 13 Tornadoes garnered All-NOL honors with four first- team selections.

Actually, it’s five first-team selections if you count Ryan Lynch twice. After all, the senior was named first team on each side of the ball. On offense Lynch piled up 1,376 yards on 214 carries with 20 touchdowns during the regular season. On defense, he added 72 tackles including three sacks.

Also being named first team was Isiah Moore. The Bowling Green commit was an anchor on the offensive line that paved the way for Lynch and the other TC backs. As a team, Columbian picked up 2,391 rushing yards.

Defensive tackle Codey Chance was named first team. Chance recorded 64 tackles with seven for losses and a sack. Chance anchored a defense that allowed an average of 10 points per game. Another key force on the defense was Nate Hoyda. The free safety recorded 42 tackles and picked off a pass, en route to a first-team selection.

Derek Dryfuse doubled-dipped on the second team. The senior was selected at tight end and defensive end. Three more offensive linemen, Ian O’Donnell, Austin Thallman and Nevin Lance were second-team selections.

Honorable mentions went to Chase Keller, Spencer Pauly, Ross Pauly, Cody Kimmet and Russ Yeast.
