Rams tie Falcons

MOUNT BLANCHARD – Neither the Rams nor the host Falcons could gain the upper hand as they ended the game with a 2-2 score.

Corbin Knedler scored the first goal for visiting Upper Sandusky. Kip Elwood added the second score for the Rams (8-6-1).

Upper Sandusky goalkeeper Clay Musgrave had 14 saves against 16 shots.

Riverdale’s Brandon Miller had the assists on the first goal by Taylor Emerick. Miller also scored the second goal for the Falcons (7-5-2). Goalkeeper Austin Clark had three saves against five shots.

TC takes sting out of Hornets

RAWSON – Columbian traveled to Cory-Rawson with hopes of a win. The Tornadoes returned home with just that, slipping past Cory-Rawson 3-2.

Mike Brady scored in the ninth and 65th minutes for TC, both assisted by Christian Kiesel. Hunter Stark had the assist on Nathaniel Gilmer’s goal in the 14th minute.

Goalkeeper Josh Gibson had six saves against 10 shots for Columbian (10-4).

Brent Warren scored a goal in the 23rd minute for the Hornets, and Brandon Strait added the other goal in the 49th minute. Goalkeeper Kyle Rossman had 15 saves against 21 shots for Cory-Rawson (4-8-1).

Calvert falls to Liberty-Benton

FINDLAY – When Calvert went on the road it must have left its points at home because the Senecas certainly didn’t bring any to the game in a 9-0 loss to Liberty-Benton.

Goalkeeper Anthony Traxler had 25 saves for Calvert’s only highlight.

For the Eagles it was Zach Garber leading the team with five of nine goals scored.
