DISTRICT VOLLEYBALL: Calvert will be selling tickets to tonight’s match in Fostoria with Arlington. Tickets will be on sale from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. today in the high school office. Calvert will receive a percentage of the money from the tickets it sells. Calvert’s match begins at 6:15 p.m.

COLUMBIAN FOOTBALL: Friday’s game at Marion Harding is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.

JV FOOTBALL: Calvert got three rushing touchdowns and one pick-six in defeating Fremont St. Joe 28-14. Austin Prenzlin, Bailey Hickman and Fred Fabrizio all ran in TDs, while Nick Felter ran an interception back 49 yards for a score. Jesse Gase tackled a Streaks’ rusher in the end zone for a safety.

JUNIOR HIGH CROSS COUNTRY: Tiffin’s boys team had two of its members participate in the State Middle School Cross Country Championship in Columbus. The Tornadoes’ Jacob Anderson and Kerrick Fanning each competed in the Division I Gold Race. Anderson, an eighth-grader, finished sixth in 10:54, breaking the school record set by Alan Boos in 1987. Fanning, a seventh-grader, took 35th in 11:42. Sixth-grader Corbin Houdeshell finished fourth in his grade’s race in 12:09.

GOLF: The team of Larry Wilson, Dave Everhart, Dick Hiser and Skip Halcomb shot even par to win Monday’s Retirees League at Seneca Hills. Gregg Bishop had the long putt on No. 11, Jeff Wise was closest to the pin on No. 18 and Wilson had the low gross of 34.
